The City of Medina is located west of Minneapolis in Hennepin County. US Highway 55 serves as a main route into the City of Minnetrista. Other routes include County Roads 19 and 24. Medina was part of the “Big Woods,” a large region of hardwood forest. In 1855, the first settlers arrived in 1855. The city of Medina was incorporated in 1974. The four school districts serving Medina include the Orono School District, the Delano School District, the Wayzata School District, and the Rockford School District.
