Minnetonka

Welcome to Minnetonka

A large suburb with tons of characters minutes from Lake Minnetonka.

Sitting eight miles west of Minneapolis is the bustling city of Minnetonka. It shares its name with the lake it borders and was first established in 1852 when a settlement was built at the current Minnetonka Mills site. The site held the largest business in Hennepin County at one point, a furniture factory, and later developed into the bustling and diverse city it is today. There are many employment opportunities, from privately held companies like Cargill to the United Health Group.

Residents are also offered abundant outdoor recreational opportunities on Lake Minnetonka, from boating and swimming to ice fishing in the winter. There are various options for shopping and dining, including high-end stores and restaurants at Ridgedale Center. A quick drive east takes you to downtown Minneapolis.

This large community is a beautiful city with gorgeous neighborhoods along the lake. The housing options range from mid-century, single-family homes to spacious contemporary properties. In addition to the handful of magnificent lakefront homes, you’ll also find an assortment of luxury high-rises and condominiums. Whatever your style, you’ll find it in this incredible real estate scene.
